This is an announcement regarding upcoming changes at Liberty Bark.

Dear Liberty Bark Clients,

Starting July 1st, we're introducing a new pricing structure and categorization for our Tricky Dogs.

Here’s what we aim to achieve:

how we categorize tricky dogs using Temperament Levels
the level of care your tricky dog needs while they are with us- as based on their temperament.
the behavioral interventions we utilize in our structured setting
the progress your dog is making.

Request your dog’s temperament level using the form. All reservations passed July first will have the new Temperament Level assigned.

Keep an eye out for an e-mail with our new packages, our updated contract, and information on getting your payment information set up using our new credit card processor.

At Liberty Bark, we see each dog as unique, with their own personality and needs. We strive to provide personalized care and individualized attention in a group setting, and our First Day Assessments are the key to achieving this.

During your dog’s First Day Assessment with us, their behavior is evaluated, accommodations are determined, and a temperament level is assigned.

A dog’s Temperament Level

is the categorization that determines the type and amount of care they require based on their personality and traits.

Instead of turning dogs away that need extra help, we expect all dogs might have some challenging behaviors. This helps us create a safe and calm space for everyone.

Friendly dogs build social skills and get mental stimulation, while tricky dogs get the support and guidance they need. Plus, it promotes transparency and lets us track progress.

Temperament Levels Explained:

Temperament Levels are used for booking your reservations. The level not only determines your dog’s playgroups, but also indicates any additional personalized care plans for you dog.

Levels can change at any time due to various factors (attendance, genetics, environmental factors , etc.), and our owners are promptly informed of any changes made.

All dogs participate in our daily routine and are a part of our social groups, and rest periods. Other services may be added-on at your request based on level status.

Individualized Care Plans & Protocols
Participates in social groups when safe and manageable
Foundational training sessions focused on establishing trust
Highest security, safety measures, with individual handling protocols in place.
Comes with free report card for progress tracking

Unpredictable, requiring skilled management
Requires the highest level of supervision and security
Requires a specialist handler, and always a second person for safety.

Dedicated Care for Every Dog

We provide a safe and fun environment for all types of dogs to socialize, with the essential resources to ensure the well-being and security of more challenging dogs.

Each dog receives individualized care based on their specific needs and behavior. We work on engagement & disengagement skills to help dogs improve their social interactions.

Experienced Handlers

Our staff is skilled in handling dogs with different behaviors, from friendly to challenging, with advanced handlers available for specialized care.

Dogs are grouped according to their behavior levels to ensure they are comfortable and safe. Our smaller specialized playgroups are uniquely designed for positive and safe interactions.

For dogs with challenging behaviors, our main goal is always to build a trusting and calm relationship. With positive reinforcement, lots of patience, and experienced handlers we can help them feel confident in our space.

Close Monitoring & Clear Communication

We regularly monitor each dog’s behavior and make adjustments to their care as needed. Our staff keeps detailed records of dog’s interactions and progress, and owners are notified when anything appears out of norm.

While far and few in between, dogs in the higher levels of risk category are handled with the high caution and guidance. Our skilled handlers ensure the dogs in these categories are always respectfully and strategically handled, maintaining a safe environment for all.

We inform dog owners any time a level status changes, and anytime something seems “off.” Report cards and

p-updates are available at an additional cost. Open communication helps us work together to provide the best care for your dog.

Liberty Bark was founded out of our community’s need for a safe space where every dog is welcome and their quirks are embraced.

We recognize dogs have their distinct personalities, preferences, and needs. We value and honor the diversity among the dogs under our care.

Our goal is to offer a welcoming space where all dogs, regardless of their temperament, can feel safe and have the opportunity to learn healthy social skills in a structured environment.
